WEATHER & CLIMATE
London’s weather is generally warmer than continental Europe in
winter. It is usually known as typically rainy as it rains more than
other parts of the country and normally gets some rainfalls half of
the days of the year. The weather in London is really rainy but it
does not rain all the times, it is rather unpredictable and always
changeable. Between July and August is summer, the
temperature is at average of 20ºC which can get very hot. Londoners
head to city parks at lunchtime to soak up the rays and pubs spill
out into the streets in the early evening. It is this time that
London gets its biggest crowds and its highest prices. Spring
are between April/May and September/October, the temperature is at
average of 10-15ºC, and are the best times to visit London to enjoy
the wonderful sunshine as during this time it does not rain very
often. Also, the queues for popular attractions are hours shorter
and the costs of getting to London are cheaper, you may even find
some decent accommodations. London gets its maximum rain between
autumn and winter. In autumn, the average temperature is
between 10-15ºC together with variable weather, bring along your
rain protections such as an umbrella or a rain coat, and warm
clothes whenever you go. Temperature in winter, November to
March, has an average of 6ºC but seldom gets below the
freezing point. Few attractions usually close or significantly
reduce their opening hours as the daylight tends to be shorter and
cheapest fares and hotel prices are available during this period.
